Violity has traditionally announced the top ten price records of the past month. The video with a selection of the most expensive lots of January 2025 premiered on February 26 on the platform's official YouTube channel.
The total amount from the sale of 10 antiques from 10 different sections of the site amounted to 1 million 375 thousand 612 UAH.
Thus, the tenth place was taken by the work of the most famous Bukovyna artist of the early twentieth century, Augusta Kokhanovska. An unsurpassed female portrait with a sale price of 33105 UAH became the most expensive lot in the “Paintings and Graphics” section in January.
The eighth place went to a rare Rubin-2a Automatic interchangeable lens for Kyiv-10 and Kyiv-15 SLR cameras. The ten-lens anastigmat made in the 1970s at the Arsenal plant in Kyiv was purchased for 41501 UAH.
The statuette “Solokha and Dyak” made at the Kyiv Experimental Ceramic and Art Factory on the model of the famous Ukrainian sculptor Olha Rapai aroused great interest among collectors. The 114th bid with a price offer of 65501 UAH was the winning bid.
