Sergey Tronov
Ukrainian artist. He was born in 1940 in Odessa. He began to draw since childhood. His hobby received support in the family, and after graduating from school, he entered the Odessa Art School of M.B. Grekov as an auditor.
Many famous Odessa artists studied in the same course with Sergey Tronov. He was especially interested in Lucien Dulfan for his "strangeness and eccentricity". We all experienced the complexity of training at that time to the fullest. The pressure of socialist realism did not contribute to the development of a creative personality in any way, but the classical academic school was strong, and this became a good foundation laid in the foundation of creativity. The contradictions between socialist realism and the underground pushed the search for new forms of expression of reality.
After graduating from the art school, Sergei Nikolaevich worked for a short time as a set designer in the theater, and then for many years at a film studio. And, of course, the games, roles and masks worn by people in life - all this did not escape the artist's attention. But he managed to put something more into this idea. Sensitive perception and subtle psychologism can be traced in his works. The cycle of works "Masks" is a gallery of human experiences, emotions, fears - an image and symbol of time, has a tragic connotation.
