Odessa artist Varnovitsky David Abramovich was born on April 19 (May 02), 1915, in the city of Odessa. He studied at the Odessa Children's Institute (1938-1941), graduated from the Odessa Art College (1952). Teachers: L. Muchnik, V. Tokarev. Painter and graphic artist. His work testifies to the assimilation of realistic traditions of painting on the basis of the peculiarities of the South Russian school. Author of portraits, landscapes, still lifes. He glorified the beauty of the Black Sea region, created portrait images of workers, war veterans, and intellectuals. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1974).
