The Russian Semantic Dictionary is a six-volume edition in which the system of modern Russian common vocabulary is presented in multi-stage classes of words. The primary unit of description in the dictionary is the meaning of the word; Such meanings are grouped by parts of speech and further by lexical-semantic classes of words and their individual sections.
The publication is addressed to linguists, lexicographers, teachers, as well as to a wide range of people who study Russian or use a dictionary in search of information about a whole class of words, as well as about a single word, its meaning. The dictionary as a whole covers about 300,000 lexical units - meanings of words and phraseological units. Each volume of the dictionary is a separate finished work and can be used as an independent lexicographic study.
Volume III contains a description of abstract nouns (words and meanings) grouped into hierarchically organized lexical-semantic sets, subsets and series, which together form lexical classes and their conditional associations: "Being. Matter. Space, Time", "Connections. Relations. Content and form. Structure. Method.", "The Spiritual World: Consciousness, Morality, Feelings", "Information, Speech", "Faith, Religion", "Works of Creative Thought: Sciences, Teachings; art", "Society, its life, foundations". The structure of these classes is reflected in the attached diagrams. This volume includes about 30,000 words and phraseological expressions. At the end of the volume are given an index and a summary order of diagrams
