Shevchenko's dictionary is a peculiar result of the development of Shevchenko studies. It contains multilateral information about the life, work and revolutionary activity of T. G. Shevchenko, covers a wide range of issues and phenomena concerning the reflection of his life and work in literature and art, as well as honoring and perpetuating his memory. The articles contained in this edition are closely related, the publication opens with an introductory article that introduces the reader to the main milestones of his life. Information about literary and artistic creativity of T. G. Shevchenko is widely and, if possible, fully presented. There are separate articles about each of his literary works and most works of art. Shevchenko dictionary is a multi-illustrated edition, which presents reproductions of many paintings by T. G. Shevchenko, as well as works on Shevchenko themes of pre-revolutionary and Soviet artists, sculptors, masters of decorative and applied arts. Among the illustrations are autographs of the poet's works, photos of editions of his works in many languages of the peoples of the world. There are also maps and a large number of photos of Shevchenko's whereabouts. In total, about 1000 illustrations are submitted, including 63 illustration tables on pastes, of which 20 are in color.
