The Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary is a Russian universal encyclopedia. Published by the joint-stock publishing company F. A. Brockhaus - I. A. Efron (St. Petersburg, 1890-1907), the complete collection consists of 82 main and 4 additional volumes; the first 8 volumes edited by I. E. Andreevsky, the rest under the editorship of K. K. Arsenyev and F. F. Petrushevsky). The dictionary was conceived as a translation of the German Conversations-Lexicon, but after the first volumes it was decided to create its own dictionary. Language: Russian. Custom-made owner's leaderboard binding of the time of publication, bandage spine with gold stamping of the name and ornamental details. The images are multi-colored.
