On the back is a handwritten dedicatory signature. Archimandrite Theodosius (Melnik, 1957).
He was born on February 8, 1890 in the south of Russia in a pious family. Already in his youth he entered the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, where he passed obedience until 1914.
In the First World War he was a senior fireworker, awarded the St. George Crosses of the second, third and fourth degrees and St. George medals. After the war, he returned back to the Lavra.
In exile in Yugoslavia.
The cell attendant of Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky) (who usually called him Fedya), then Metropolitan Anastassy Gribanovsky. After his ordination, he headed the Russian Orthodox parish in Sremski Karlovci, which was, in fact, a house church in the metropolitan chambers.
Confessor at the monastic school at the Vysoko-Dečanska Lavra (Kosovo).
After the Second World War, until his death, he was the rector of the Vysoko-Dechanskaya Lavra. He died in 1957 and was buried in Belgrade in the tomb of the Iberian Chapel next to his mentor, Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky).
