More attention is paid to the mechanisms of action of drugs of the structure and pharmacotherapeutic activity, side effects; Specified in accordance with the new data indications, contraindications and doses. The classification of drugs has also been clarified.
The book is intended as a manual on pharmacotherapy for doctors. The experience of previous editions shows that the book is also a valuable tool for pharmacy workers and specialists working in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry.

В настоящем 8-м издании книги учтены изменения в лекарственном деле за годы, прошедшие после предыдущего издания (1972). Включено описание ряда новых препаратов, разрешенных к применению Министерством здравоохранения СССР; изъяты препараты, исключенные из номенклатуры. Больше внимания уделено механизмам действия препаратов связи строения и фармакотерапевтической активности, побочные явления; уточнены в соответствии с новыми данными показания, противопоказания и дозы. Уточнена также классификация препаратов.
Книга предназначена в качестве пособия по фармакотерапии для врачей. Опыт предыдущих изданий показывает, что книга является также ценным пособием для аптечных работников и специалистов , работающих в области фармацевтической химии.
