The Vyshgorod icon of the Mother of God is one of the most revered images of the Virgin Mary by Christians, written on a linden board, the original size was 78x55 cm.
At the beginning. XII. The Patriarch of Constantinople presented the icon to Prince Mstislav the Great (according to other sources – Yuri Dolgoruky). Initially, it was placed in the monastery church of the city of Vyshgorod, later the holy image was taken out by the Suzdal prince Andrei Bogolyubsky.
Now the icon is in the church-museum of St. Nicholas in Tolmachi at the Tretyakov Gallery.

In the presence of their works "Stained glass windows of old Lviv", "House with chimeras" (Gorodetsky), "State seals of Ukraine", "Insects of Ukraine", "Ancient toys", "Volodymyr the Great", "25 years of dip. relations with the USA" and the full series "Cultural Epochs of Ukraine" (Scythians, Cimmerians, Paleolithic and Trypillya), etc.

Вишгородська ікона Божої Матері – один з найшанованіших християнами образів Богородиці, написана на липовій дошці, первісний розмір становив 78х55 см.
На поч. ХІІ ст. Константинопольський патріарх подарував ікону князеві Мстиславові Великому (за іншими джерелами – Юрію Долгорукому). Спочатку вона була розміщена в монастирській церкві міста Вишгорода, пізніше святий образ був вивезений суздальським князем Андрієм Боголюбським.
Наразі ікона знаходиться в храмі-музеї Святителя Миколая в Толмачах при Третьяковській галереї.
