Description:
Церква Св. Єлизавети в Пярну була завершена в 1747 році, але освячена лише в 1750 році через внутрішні роботи. Свого нинішнього вигляду церква набула у 1893 році, коли до храму було прибудовано трансепт. Повторне освячення церкви відбулося 19 жовтня 1893 року.
24 лютого 1918 року, наступного дня після того, як Декларацію незалежності Естонії було зачитано з балкона театру «Ендла» в Пярну, пастор Йоганнес Гассельблатт прочитав Декларацію незалежності на церковній службі в церкві Святої Єлизавети. Рівно через 100 років, 24 лютого 2018 року, один із його наступників вшанував цю подію, зачитавши у церкві Декларацію незалежності. У костелі є два органи, і обидва вони високо цінуються органістами. У 2018 році в костелі розпочалися масштабні реставраційні роботи, зараз триває ремонт вежі костелу.
