English painter Alfred Pollentine (1836-1890), known as an accomplished painter of Venetian scenes,although he also painted some English coastal views.Many of his paintings were painted in the style of impressionism.Pollentine exhibited his numerous works in some of the leading galleries in England from 1861 to 1880, including two of London's most famous ,British Institute and the Union of British Artists.
