The Cossacks of the Cavalry Regiment of the Black Cossacks are a legendary unit of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic. Its formation began in December 1918 on the basis of the cavalry company of the 2nd Zaporozhye Regiment of the Zaporozhye Division. During 1919, the Black Cossacks took an active part in the war with the Bolsheviks and the White Guards. They became one of the main forces in the First Winter Campaign of the UPR Army (06.12.1919-05.05.1920). In the course of this brilliant military raid, the UPR troops fought their way through the rear of the "Reds" and "Whites".

Козаки кінного полку Чорних запорожців – легендарний підрозділ Армії Української Народної Республіки. Його формування розпочалося в грудні 1918 року на основі кінної сотні 2-го Запорізького полку Запорізької дивізії. Протягом 1919 року Чорні запорожці брали активну участь у війні з більшовиками та білогвардійцями. Стали однією з головних сил у Першому Зимовому поході Армії УНР (06.12.1919-05.05.1920 рр.). У перебігу цього блискучого військового рейду війська УНР з боями пройшли 2 500 км тилами «червоних» і «білих».
