Flügge Karl Flügge Karl - hygienist, in 1878 was privatdozent of hygiene in Berlin, in 1881 he moved to Göttingen; in 1883 he was appointed professor and director of the first hygienic institute in Prussia. In 1887 he moved to the University of Breslau. In his first work, (Fundamentals of Hygiene, 1879), he deals with issues relating to the hygiene of dwellings, canteens in charity houses, and soil contamination. 'Guide to hygienic methods of research. (1892); Hygiene basics for doctors and students. (1893). "Fundamentals of Hygiene", 11 editions were published.
