The coin of the Defender in a souvenir package of 5 UAH is dedicated to Ukrainian women. They destroy stereotypes, hold the line at the front and in the rear: they fight, work, feed, volunteer, pray, wait, love and protect our families, their Motherland, bringing us all closer to Victory.
On the obverse of the coin, against a mirror background, there is a symbolic composition demonstrating courage and love of freedom, sincerity and at the same time tenderness, care of Ukrainian women, embodied in the images of a mother and a defender, who during the war took on a huge responsibility – to be in defense of the Motherland and at the same time to remain a wife, hostess and mother (in the center); at the top there is the inscription УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) (in a semicircle), to the left of which there is the logo of the Banknote Printing and Minting Works of the National Bank of Ukraine, decorated with stylized ornaments of Ukrainian embroidery, the denomination – 5 and the graphic symbol of the hryvnia; to the right there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine, decorated with stylized ornaments of Ukrainian embroidery, and the coin issue year 2023.
On the reverse of the coin, against a mirror background, there is a composition symbolizing the femininity of Ukrainian female defenders: on the left, there are stylized waves of women's hair braided as a symbol of the accumulation of vitality necessary for health and spiritual development; On the right, there are outlines of a female figure in a plate as a symbol of female initiation (the decoration element is pad printing).
