The stamps were issued as part of the "Her Majesty is a Woman" series. The first issue was decorated with the works of Taras Shevchenko "Odalisque" from the funds of the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko and the Ukrainian contemporary artist Andriy Chebykin "Energy II" from the funds of the National Art Museum of Ukraine.

Taras Shevchenko's painting "Odalisque" was painted in 1840 in St. Petersburg. On the envelope for the issue there is another work by Taras Hryhorovych – "Bathsheba", written in 1860.
