Description:
Soviet filmoscope "Ogonyok".
A filmoscope is a type of slide projector designed to display only slide films with a frame size of 18 × 24 mm. The reduced frame size made it possible to reduce the size of the lenses, the simplest plastic single-lens lens was used, which led to a reduction in price. Filmoscopes were intended mainly for children, instead of an expensive projection lamp, a car or motorcycle lamp (12 or 6 volts) with a power of 15-25 watts was used. The lamp was powered by a step-down transformer (also for greater safety). The cost of the filmoscope did not exceed 15 Soviet rubles, which led to their wide distribution in the USSR.
