Description:
Demurger Alain. Jacques de Molay. Grand Master of the Order of the Templars. Series: "Historical Library". St. Petersburg, "Eurasia", 2009, 416 p. Hardcover, standard format. Good condition.
Everyone knows the tragic end of the Order of the Temple, a military-monastic order founded in the twelfth century, one of the most powerful in the West, the trial against which, initiated by Philip the Fair in 1307, still feeds many legends and gives rise to many disputes. Perhaps less well known is Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Order of the Temple, who died in the flames of the pyre for refusing to renounce his order. To tell the truth, few people have heard of this man, a native of the Burgundian county, during almost all of his quiet career in the East. Elected head of the Templars in 1392, he survived the disappearance of the Latin states after the capture of Acre by the Mamelukes. From Cyprus, where the Christians of the East had retreated, he encouraged them to fight for the return of Jerusalem, relying on an alliance with the Mongols. But this strategy failed, and the great dream came to an end. Invited to France by Pope Clement V to discuss the Crusade and the merger of the Orders of the Temple and the Hospital, Molay fell into a trap as a result of an intrigue that he did not see and which became fatal for the Templars. Alain Demurger, using unpublished documents that have recently come into his possession, reviews the life of a little-known man, who was often judged ill by posterity, but who was not devoid of character or ambition. Along the way, clarifying some dates and data that have seemed indisputable until now, he reveals in a fascinating investigation the extent of the responsibility of the last Grand Master for the outcome of the trial of the Order of the Temple and the true motives of his behavior.

How does AUTO BIDDING work
This is a function that helps you place bids automatically in case your bet is interrupted.
For example, current lot price is UAH 120. You are ready to bargain up to UAH 5 000. Enter 5 000 in the field "Automatic bargaining" and click "Place Bet". As a result, your new rate will appear, but not in the amount of UAH 5 000, but only UAH 121. In this case, the system will remember that you are ready to bargain up to UAH 5 000, and will make the necessary bids for you if the price continues to rise.
Let's say another participant places a bet of UAH 2 000. Then the system will automatically place your bet of 2 001 UAH. And only if someone places a bet more than UAH 5 000, you will receive a notification that your auto rate has been interrupted.
