He made his debut on the stage of the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theater in 1891. He was a soloist of the theater until 1909. He went on tour to Nizhny Novgorod, Kiev, Kharkov, Moscow, Tiflis. Василий Львович Карелин (настоящая фамилия Педьков) (1862–1926), артист оперы (лирический тенор) и педагог, После окончания обучения в академии был солистом Московской частной русской оперы, совершенствовался в пении в Италии. Дебютировал на сцене петербургского Мариинского театра в 1891 году . Был солистом театра до 1909 года. Выезжал на гастроли в Нижний Новгород, Киев, Харьков, Москву, Тифлис. В 1908–1917 годах преподавал в Петербурге–Петрограде, в 1917–1926 годах – в Ташкенте, был организатором Ташкентской консерватории, ее первым директором, а затем профессором сольного пения. Умер в Ташкенте в 1926 году...
