Підготував план створення потужного флоту, який дозволив би Німеччині здобути авторитет на світовій арені, так званий «план Тірпіца». Завдяки реалізації цього плану до 1914 флот Німецької імперії за своїми розмірами займав друге місце у світі, поступаючись лише британському.
Перше повне видання мемуарів Тірпіца російською мовою.

How does AUTO BIDDING work
