Yuriy Ivanovich Kyrychenko was born on 15.01.1954 in the village of Kopani, Vasylkiv district, Dnipropetrovsk region in the family of a teacher. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Dnipropetrovsk State University. He worked as a correspondent of the regional newspaper "Banner of Youth", was an editor of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Television and Radio Committee. Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. He headed the Office of the Young Author of the Dnipropetrovsk Writers' Organization, headed the Regional Literary Association named after P.T. Kononenko. Laureate of the G. I. Petrovsky Prize (1990).
From 1984 to 1999. – member of the Writers' Union of Ukraine. Delegate of the IX, X (I Independent), II Congresses of Writers of Ukraine. Since 2001. – Member of the Regional Union of Writers of the Dnieper Region and the Interregional Union of Writers of Ukraine. He held the position of Deputy Director for National and Patriotic Education of the Dnipropetrovsk Institute of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (2005).
24.07. 2012 poet Yuriy Kyrychenko became a laureate of the literary and socio-political prize of humanistic consciousness "Poetry is an associate of Themis". 05.12. 2015 Kirichenko died.

Юрій Іванович Кириченко народився 15.01.1954 р. в селі Копані Васильківського району Дніпропетровської області в сім’ї вчителя. Закінчив філологічний факультет Дніпропетровського держуніверситету. Працював кореспондентом обласної ґазети „Прапор юності“, був редактором Дніпропетровського облтелерадіокомітету. Член Національної Спілки журналістів України. Завідував Кабінетом молодого автора Дніпропетровської письменницької організації, керував обласним літературним об’єднанням імені П.Т.Кононенка. Лауреат премії імені Г. І. Петровського (1990р.).
З 1984 по 1999рр. – член Спілки письменників України. Делегат IХ, Х ( I Незалежного), II з’їздів письменників України. З 2001р. – член Реґіональної Спілки письменників Придніпров’я та Міжреґіональної Спілки письменників України. Обіймав посаду заступника директора з національно-патріотичного виховання Дніпропетровського інституту Міжреґіональної Академії управління персоналом (2005р.).
24.07. 2012р. поет Юрій Кириченко став лауреатом літературної та суспільно-політичної премії гуманістичної свідомості „Поезія – соратниця Феміди“. 05.12. 2015 р. Кириченко помер.
