The United Arab Republic (UAR) was a state that existed from 1958 to 1971 in North Africa and Western Asia. Until 1961, it was a union of two countries - Syria and Egypt. On September 28, 1961, Syria announced its withdrawal from the UAR. In 1963, steps were taken to revive the Union State consisting of Egypt (UAR), Syria and Iraq, but due to disagreements over the state structure, these plans were not implemented. The United Arab Republic formally (as part of one Egypt) continued to exist until 1971, when the formation of the Federation of Arab Republics was announced - a confederation of Egypt, Libya and Syria.
Metal - copper-nickel, weight - grams, diameter - 25 mm.
