The originality of Chinese classical poetry is determined by the main poetic genres - shi and ci. In this book, for the first time in Russian Oriental studies, the period of the X-XI centuries, marked by the formation and establishment of a new genre of ci, is studied on the basis of extensive material. On the example of the works of Li Yu, Wang Yu-cheng, Su Shun-qin, Mei Yao-chen and Ouyang Xiu, the interrelations of genres and their possibilities in the figurative reflection of reality are considered.
