Boyko Petro Borisovich was born in 1954 in the city of Pryluki, Chernihiv region. Since the 1980s, he often traveled to Odessa, communicated with non-conformist artists, including V. Basanets and Y. Kovalenko. The lessons of Y. Kovalenko had a huge impact on the worldview, creative manner, and life philosophy of P. Boyko. He studied at the All-Union People's Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow in L. Kostorina (1985-1993). He actively participates in regional and national art exhibitions (since 1992), held personal exhibitions in Pryluki, Chernihiv and Kyiv. Member of the Professional Union of Artists (2011, Moscow).
