"The courage to be. UA" — new commemorative coins from the National Bank
The National Bank of Ukraine presented a new commemorative coin for Independence Day. These numismatic novelties with a denomination of 10 hryvnias made of silver and a denomination of 5 hryvnias made of nickel silver are dedicated to the courage of the Ukrainian people, who are leading a heroic resistance for their freedom.

The coins became a logical continuation of the "Immortal My Ukraine" series. UAH 10 is made of 925 silver and decorated with local gilding. The circulation of this silver coin is up to 5,000 pieces.
The obverse of the coin is decorated with a stylized composition symbolizing Ukraine. Her image is embodied in the symbol of the trident, which is at the center of the world's attention and the creation of a new world history. A sword blade and a small State Coat of Arms, a coin denomination with the inscription "UKRAINE" are placed on the mirror background.

On the reverse is a golden star shining with hope, as the personification of courage, confidence in victory and the unceasing struggle for the truth of the Ukrainian people. The composition is complemented by a vertical inscription: "COURAGE TO BE. UA."
The 5-hryvnia nickel silver coin repeats the general stylized composition of the silver coin, however, the emphasis on the obverse is "moved" to the blade of a sword placed on a matte background. According to the designers, this is a symbolic sign of Ukrainians' readiness to defend their independence with weapons in hand. The mintage of the nickel silver coin is 75,000 pieces.
The authors of the sketches of these iconic commemorative coins for every Ukrainian are Kyiv artists Volodymyr Taran, Oleksandr Kharuk, Serhiy Kharuk. The sculptor is Volodymyr Atamanchuk.

You can replenish your numismatic collection with new coins from August 24.
More than 20,000 lots are presented in the section "Coins of Ukraine. Medals and tokens of the NBU of Ukraine".
