In Ternopil Oblast, a mound on which Cossacks from Bohdan Khmelnytskyi's army are buried has been restored. The initiator of the restoration was Ruslan Krupa, a member of the Chortkiv District Council, who spoke about the process of restoration and consecration of the grave.
The burial on the mound dates back to 1655, but in Soviet times, the cross that was on the grave was hidden by local residents in the cemetery.

After the independence of Ukraine, the cross was returned to its place, but it lost its original appearance and needed restoration. In addition, the mound itself needed restoration, as it had collapsed.

The deputy turned to historian-archaeologist Volodymyr Bevz for help, who, together with professor Oleg Rybchinsky, confirmed the age of the grave based on the records of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi and Ivan Krypyakevich, as well as according to old maps from 1847 and 1917.
The cross was restored in Lviv. The work was carried out with the support of the local population, which provided money and transport for the restoration.
