Artists and designers of the Lviv brand "Grono" joined forces to create unique Christmas tree decorations inspired by the work of the outstanding Ukrainian artist Kazimir Malevich.
Kazimir Malevich is known for his revolutionary work in the field of modern art. His abstract and Suprematist works left a significant mark in world art, and for many years connoisseurs of the artist's work have been honoring his experience, in particular, in holiday decor.

In total, the collection includes eight Christmas balls, which make up two gift sets - "Suprematism" and "Ukrainian village". Each Christmas tree decoration reproduces individual fragments of Malevich's paintings. Rural aesthetics lies in laconic lines and geometric ornaments, and, according to some researchers, has similarities with the paintings of Podil houses and Easter eggs.
The collections of these Christmas ornaments are created with the idea of how you can combine traditional holiday rituals with cutting-edge contemporary artistic expression. Each ornament has its own unique color scheme, reminiscent of geometric and abstract elements in Malevich's works.
All balls are made of blown glass, hand-painted and packaged in a black gift box with a conceptual reference to the "Black Square".

This project is not only impressive from an aesthetic point of view, it has a deep meaning: it contributes to the combination of tradition and innovation. And also the desire to return what Russia stole.
"Our bullets are our manifesto. Today, it is more important than ever to get rid of the unpleasant labeling of our artists as "Soviet" or "Russian" and to help inscribe the name of Malevich in Ukrainian history. Why not try it with home decor or even Christmas decorations? We hope that such balls on your Christmas tree this year will be a kind of reminder of the multifaceted nature of Ukrainian culture," says Yuliya Strypa, founder of the brand.
Such Christmas decorations not only add beauty, but also inspire the idea of how to combine the past and the future, tradition and modernity. This is not only a festive decoration, but also a manifestation of creative potential, a desire to return what was lost.
