The miniature world of the artist from Slavuta on the tip of a pencil

For the past 11 years, Kostyantyn Saposhko from Slavuta has been creating incredible miniatures no bigger than a match head. He carves out his creations from a fragile pencil lead.

The artist from Slavuta pays special attention to details, embodying his imagination and skill in every created masterpiece. Reproducing his ideas on the tips of pencils, Konstantin uses a fragile slate as the main material for his miniatures.

In the artist's collection, you can find a wide variety of exhibits - from three-dimensional miniatures in the antique style to small sculptures that reproduce, for example, the sunken cruiser "Moscow".

Kostyantyn Saposhka's acquaintance with miniatures took place during his student years at the Boychuk Kyiv Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design. When he studied in the second year, he got into the museum of microminiatures of Mykola Syadristy, in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. These works impressed the boy so much that he decided to try to do something similar first with gypsum, and later with graphite.

Kostyantsi Saposhko is not only engaged in miniatures. He works in painting, ceramics, sculpture and wood carving. His creative achievement can be seen in the museums of Slavuta and Netishyn. They also occupy places of honor in private collections of Ukraine, England, Germany, Portugal, India, Poland and Italy.

The artist himself often shows photos of his creations on social networks. Recently, he received an invitation to participate in a charity exhibition in the Ostroh Castle in the Rivne region. During two months, 48 mini-sculptures by Kostyantyn Saposhka will be presented to the audience, and all the collected funds will go towards the purchase of cars for the Ukrainian military.

In such a short period of time, Kostyantyn Saposhko was able to create an incredible world of miniatures that capture the hearts of viewers with their beauty and skill. His works became a kind of message: true talent can be realized with the help of the most ordinary objects, and art can serve not only for aesthetic pleasure, but also for noble causes.
