Four swords wrapped in paper were tried to be smuggled across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border
A resident of Transcarpathia tried to bring a cold weapon through the Tisa checkpoint in his Renault minibus, which was heading to Ukraine. Border guards discovered four swords wrapped in paper.
During the inspection of the vehicle, the law enforcement officers noticed a package that was located behind the driver's seat. During the examination of this package, four pieces of cold weapons were found - swords, the length of the blade of which was from 46 to 52 cm.

The law enforcement officers seized the weapon in accordance with the procedure established by law for the purpose of further investigation. Their purpose is to determine whether the weapon transported by a resident of Transcarpathia has cultural or historical value.
Currently, the driver is charged with "Smuggling of cultural values and weapons."

The crossing point for the road connection "Chop (Tysa)" is located on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, the crossing point on the adjacent side is Zahony.
