In the world of art, there has always been a problem of falsification and counterfeiting of the works of famous masters. In recent years, Banksy's works have become particularly popular, and their value at auctions reaches significant sums. This has made them an attractive target for fraudsters trying to cash in on fakes.
The regional police of Catalonia announced a successful raid that took place in a workshop located in an apartment in the city of Zaragoza. During the search, nine fake works were seized, and at least 25 cases of their sale were recorded in different countries of the world, including in Spain, Germany, Switzerland, the USA and Scotland.

Counterfeiters have tried to capitalize on the popularity of Banksy's works by selling them through auctions, antique shops and online platforms. However, due to extensive police investigations, the network was uncovered and four individuals are now being investigated for fraud and intellectual property infringement.
It should be noted that prohibited actions related to the forgery of works of art have serious consequences, which may include legal sanctions and imprisonment.
