
On April 22, at the Krasnoilsk - Vikova de Sous border checkpoint, customs officials detained a citizen of Ukraine who was trying to take out ancient coins. They were not among the items listed in the customs declaration.
The coins were in a small box, which the owner tried to hide among his personal belongings. According to a preliminary expert assessment, the man tried to take out 35 coins, some of which date back to the 15th century, and some to the 5th century. B.C. - VI century not.

The specified items are subject to the Law of Ukraine "On Export, Import and Return of Cultural Values" dated September 21, 1999 No. 1068-XIV, and cannot be exported outside the territory of Ukraine.
Chernivtsi customs officers noted that the citizen was on his way to Great Britain in his car with a trailer on private business. Currently, a case has been initiated against him for violation of customs regulations, provided for in Part 1 of Art. 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, and the discovered items were temporarily seized.
