
Violity has announced the Top 10 price records of last month. A video with a selection of the most expensive lots of June appeared on August 17 on the platform's official YouTube channel.
The total amount from the sale of 10 antiques from 10 different sections of the site amounted to almost 2.5 million hryvnias.
The tenth place in the ranking is occupied by a beautiful example of decorative art of the 18th century - a bronze sculpture of the ancient Roman goddess of hunting, Diana the Huntress. The unsurpassed work of the outstanding French sculptor Guillaume Cousteau was bought for UAH 49,889.
The ninth place was taken by the most expensive lot of the “Painting and Graphics” section - a work by the famous Ukrainian painter Andrii Danylovych Antoniuk. The colorful painting, in which the artist in 1988 skillfully depicted a genre scene with a plot from rural life, was purchased by the collector for 57,000 hryvnias.
On the seventh line of our selection is the most expensive lot of the Icons and Religious Objects section: the Iveron Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or the Gatekeeper. Collectors offered the highest bid of 88,001 hryvnias for the ancient miraculous image with a gift inscription from the early twentieth century.
