Special order for Lady Di put up for auction in the UK
Auction house Silverstone will put up for auction a car created by special order of the Royal family of Great Britain for Princess Diana. Bidding for Ford Escort RS Turbo 1985 will take place at the end of this month.

The special order for Princess Diana differed only in some design features and color - all production models of the first generation were painted white. For the car ordered by the royal family, it was chosen in black. It must have been done in disguise.
Since Princess Diana was always accompanied by a security guard, a walkie-talkie was installed inside for communication and an additional rear-view mirror. From a technical point of view, the car remained unchanged - a 1.6-liter turbo engine with 130 hp and a manual transmission.

The previous owner, after using the Ford Escort RS Turbo for three years by the royal family, were private owners. For almost 10 years, the car adorned the garage of a private collector. The latter put it up for auction by Silverstone with a mileage of 40,000 km.

The American automobile manufacturer Ford produced over 5,000 of these hot hatches. However, the UK market most of all remembers the special order for Lady Dee.

Information about how much the seller plans to earn for his car is not advertised.
Collectible cars, motorcycles and bicycles are areas of collecting that are difficult for men to ignore. Especially when it comes to exclusive models.
