Another garage find: 10 Salvador Dali lithographs were found in London
A collection of lithographs, which consists of the works of the Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali and the French painter Theo Tobias, was found in one of the districts in the center of London. Their price was once £500.

The Dalí lithographs were purchased in the 1970s and have been in a garage for nearly 50 years. Dali's works also included similar works by the French artist Theo Tobias.
Before the move, the owner of the garage invited Chris Kirkham, antiques expert and deputy director of auction house Hansons Richmond, to stay. He called the forgotten collection a "treasury of surrealist lithographs."

"I was invited to appraise some antique items from a client. During the visit, the seller took me to the garage, and this treasure trove of surrealist lithographs appeared... They had been hidden and forgotten for about 50 years. It was quite surreal. You never know what you're going to find during a typical home visit," Kirkham noted.
Dali lithographs are expected to fetch around £5,000 at auction.

It should be noted that the works of the Spanish surrealist were exhibited at many international exhibitions in the 1930s. It is believed that it was this period that gave a sure start to Dali's popularity. The artist's works are still kept in the most famous museums and private collections of the world.
