Violity has announced the Top 10 price records of last month. A video with a selection of the most expensive lots of August appeared on September 20 on the platform's official YouTube channel.
The total amount from the sale of 10 antiques from 10 different sections of the site was more than 1,2 million UAH.
Opens the rating lot from the section “Icons and cult objects”, namely – Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of Jesus, decorated in 1864 with a luxurious silver riza with gilding and enamels. Collectors offered 44100 UAH for it.
The sixth place was taken by a magnificent music box made by the French master Charles Jacques Ulman in the late XIX century. This rare musical instrument in perfect condition was bought for 70000 UAH.
On the fifth line of our selection is one of the elements of Ukrainian women's national costume: it is a magic necklace of beads made of mother-of-pearl, balamuta. The exquisite piece of jewellery made of 34 beads with a total weight of almost 300 grams was valued by collectors at 81753 UAH.
