The place of sale of the famous car was the New York RM Sotheby's auction. The approximate price that is planned to be received for the "Formula-1" Ferrari 248 F1 is about $15,000,000.
It was this car, equipped with a 2.4-liter 750-horsepower V8, that helped Michael Schumacher win five Grands Prix in the 2006 Formula 1 championship.

It is noted that a total of 8 such cars were assembled for racing. And the one put up for auction was the first to which the new regulations were used: the reduction of the engine volume in Formula 1 from 3.0 to 2.4 liters.
A new V8 with a capacity of 750 hp was specially developed for Michael Schumacher's car. It was complemented by a 7-speed robotic gearbox.

In total, driving this car, the driver took part in 10 stages of the championship in 2006, he won 5 of them - Grand Prix of San Marino, Europe, USA, France and Germany. After that, Schumacher suspended his performances for several years.
Later, the car was bought by a private collector, who is now selling the famous racer's car. Initially, the Ferrari 248 F1 was used for test runs, and in recent years it has hardly been exhibited.

The only place where the car was exhibited for the general public was an exhibition at the Petersen Museum in the United States at an exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Ferrari.
