Anabela Chan is a Hong Kong-based jewellery designer who grew up between London and Paris, with a unique approach to jewellery. She is known for her use of unconventional materials and eco-friendly approach, which has made her one of the leading figures in sustainable jewellery fashion.
Anabela’s background was in architecture and interior design, which has influenced her style. She studied design at the Royal College of Art and has worked with Alexander McQueen and Allford Hall Monaghan Morris. Her transition to jewellery design began after studying in America, where she learned about the creation of stones and working with precious metals.

The main feature of Chan’s work was the use of synthetic gemstones, which are as beautiful and high-quality as natural ones.
This was a fundamental decision, since the extraction of precious stones and metals causes significant harm to the environment. Using lab-grown diamonds and other artificially grown minerals, Anabela made her jewelry accessible to a wider audience.

Chan creates her jewelry inspired by the natural world. Her collections feature unusually detailed forms: flowers, butterflies, bizarre insects that come to life in the form of jewelry. Each element looks natural and at the same time unique due to high-tech processing and original solutions.
She uses recycled aluminum for some of her handicrafts - recycled San Pellegrino drink cans. Chan has been polishing the technology of their jewelry coloring for many years.

Anabela Chan is looking for new technological approaches to make her works more accessible. However, today they are already in great demand in boutiques in Hong Kong, London, Rome, New York. They are worn by celebrities.
