Drafts with typewritten lyrics of the song by American singer Bob Dylan were sold at the Julien's auction in America. They are three versions of Mr Tambourine Man.
Two yellow sheets of paper with three variations of the song and comments on the third, sold for $ 508,000.

Bob Dylan left these drafts at the house of his friend Al Aronowitz in New Jersey in 1964. One night Al woke up to find the musician sleeping next to him on the couch, and crumpled sheets in the trash. Dylan spent the whole night perfecting the lyrics of the song, and threw away the early drafts. However, Aronowitz pulled them out and saved them.
The auction featured more than 60 items related to the life and work of Bob Dylan from the personal collection of American music journalist Al Aronowitz. These include a 1983 Fender Telecaster electric guitar, a Levi's denim jacket that the singer wore in the 1987 musical drama film Hearts of Fire, several sketches by Dylan, early archival photographs, and a signed harmonica.

The total amount that was obtained after the sale of the items was almost $1.5 million.
