Violity presents the most expensive lots of 2024
Another year of trading on Violity is behind us, which means it's time to announce the rating of price record holders for the entire year of 2024. A video with a selection of the best of the best was released on Saturday, February 22 on the platform's official YouTube channel.
The total amount from the sale of 10 antiques from 10 different sections of the site amounted to UAH 4 million 421 thousand 679 UAH.
The list is opened by the most expensive lot from the Ceramics, Porcelain, Glass section. It is a rare set of porcelain figurines from the middle of the last century “Gogol's Characters” based on the works “The Inspector” and “Dead Souls”, for which collectors offered the highest bid of UAH 200000 in January last year.

In ninth place is the price record holder of the Painting and Graphics section, a painting by one of the most famous Ukrainian artists of the Soviet era, Mykola Glushchenko. The work titled “Railway platform”, which the artist created in the 60s of the last century, was bought in December for 210351 hryvnias.

The eighth place went to an incredibly beautiful decanter made in the early 20th century of crystal and sterling silver of 84 and decorated with gilding and semiprecious stones. The bidding for the most expensive piece of jewelry last year started with a starting price of 50,000 hryvnias and ended at 250001.
