Apple 1 computer prototype sold at auction in Boston
Auction house RR Auction, headquartered in Boston, put up for sale a prototype of the Apple-1 computer. The technical element went under the hammer for almost $700,000.
The model sold at the auction is unique. The standard marking Apple Computer 1 has been replaced with the words Apple Computer A. Another distinguishing feature of the prototype is damage to the printed circuit board.

It is noted that the device was in the house of Steve Jobs for many years, until the inventor decided to donate it.
About 200 of these prototypes were produced, each costing just over $660.

Returning to the sensational bidding, the winning bid was $677,196. The San Francisco bidder wished to remain anonymous.
Apple I or Apple-1 is considered the very first personal computer that was sold in assembled form. The device was developed by electronics engineer and programmer Steve Wozniak for personal use. The idea of ​​sales belonged to a friend of the developer Steve Jobs. Subsequently, it was the Apple I that became the first product of the company of the same name, which was presented in April 1976.
