On July 19, 2023, the discovery was made when archaeologists discovered a house that appeared to belong to a wealthy businessman. This house is unique not only for its architecture, but also for its amazing details that allow you to imagine how people lived and traded in Pompeii more than two thousand years ago.

The frescoes depicting a flatbread on a silver tray are considered a historical find that can rewrite gastronomic history. Not quite like a modern pizza, this flatbread became the progenitor of an Italian dish that won the hearts of millions of people around the world.

However, the invasion of lava and ash two thousand years ago brought death and tragedy to the city. In this house, archaeologists found three human skeletons - two women and a child. Perhaps these were the last inhabitants of the house, who tried to escape from the catastrophe, but, unfortunately, did not have time. The skeletons were found under the stairs, indicating that they tried to take cover, but a shower of ash and stones killed them. These remains became evidence of the tragic consequences of a terrible natural disaster.
