A 900-year-old crusader's sword was found by an Israeli diver
In the world of underwater exploration, there are people whose dedication and passion have led to the discovery of priceless historical artifacts. One such amazing person is the diver Shlomi Katsin, who found the sword of the Crusaders in 2021.

Born in Israel, Shlomi Katsin had an early fascination with the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of the ocean. Over the years, he honed his skills, becoming an expert diver with an uncanny ability to find extraordinary objects lost in the past.
In search of historical artifacts, Katsyn began to study various places in the Mediterranean Sea, where centuries-old shipwrecks could be waiting for him. It was during one of these expeditions that Katsyn found a crusader sword with a blade one meter long and a handle thirty centimeters long.

He reported his find to the Israel Antiquities Authority. And handed over the sword to this department for research. The age of the weapon, which, according to experts, was perfectly preserved, was about 900 years.
The sword, a witness of the tumultuous times of the Crusades, was an extraordinary find that "told" about the skill and combat strategies of that era.

Through careful analysis, the researchers determined that the sword likely belonged to a high-ranking crusader knight. A symbol of power and strength in a period of intense conflict between Christian and Muslim forces. Its presence off the coast of Israel indicated the extent of the Crusaders' maritime activities and their influence in the region.
