Sotheby's New York auction in August will feature rare alcohol from The Macallan distillery, many of which are over 50 years old.

65,000 USD - 100,000 USD
One of the key auction items will be The Macallan 55 Year Old Lalique, the second edition of the highly acclaimed Six Pillars collection. A total of 420 exquisite crystal decanters in this series were produced in 2007. Undoubtedly, many of them have been consumed or have become part of a complete collector's collection, making this bottle a rare opportunity to purchase at auction.

40,000 USD - 55,000 USD
Another significant item will be The Macallan Exceptional Single Cask 2018/ASB-1683/13. This series from The Macallan is popular with sophisticated collectors looking for natural strength single casks. This example is the oldest in the series, distilled in 1950 and aged for 68 years in the only American oak first filled sherry cask. Only 336 bottles were produced from this cask at 53.4% ABV, which is very strong for a whiskey of this age.

70,000 USD - 90,000 USD
Also up for auction will be The Macallan 72 Year Old in Lalique Genesis Decanter, released in 2018 to celebrate the opening of the new Macallan distillery. At the time of release, it was the oldest whiskey from The Macallan.
