Fritz Rudolf Künker GmbH & Co. KG and Laurens Schulman BV took on the exciting task of auctioning the Louis S. Beut collection in several parts.

One of the highest grade coins in Boit's collection. 20 guilders 1810 worth 30,000 euros, Utrecht. Dedicated to L. Napoleon, it was purchased at the auction of Jacques Shulman 286 in Amsterdam in 1987.
In 1950, Ludovic Boit began to assemble his coin collection and worked closely with the Lorenzo Shulman family. As his interest and knowledge grew, Beut decided to create a true record set - the largest and most beautiful collection of coins in the Netherlands.

Beuit became a distinguished student of numismatics and economics, publishing his research in journals and helping to reform the Netherlands' monetization system as the price of silver began to rise and Gresham's law of "good money drives out bad money" almost became a reality for the Netherlands. In 1967, the Dutch replaced silver with nickel, following Beut's reasoning, and avoided problems with local trade, providing healthy opportunities for future collectors.

Coins from the catalog.

Expect to see a remarkable combination of rarities and interesting varieties in gold and silver in this first offering, scheduled for sale on September 27-28, 2023 in the city of Osnabrück.
