Archaeological excavations are often the key to solving the secrets of the past, and recent finds in Rivne have allowed us to learn some details about the life of the elite in ancient Eastern Europe. During the preparation of the construction site, three estates were discovered, one of which may have belonged to a boyar or a prince's retainer. A lot of valuable material was discovered in it.
Specialists of the Protection Archeological Service were involved in the study of the western outskirts of the Boyarka microdistrict, the place of the discovery. The excavations lasted about two months, during which they investigated three settlements of the Kievan Rus era.

Archaeologists were especially interested in a site measuring approximately 100x100 meters, dating back to the 12th-13th centuries, where many items uncharacteristic of ordinary settlements were found. According to its features, the material of the manor is typical of hillforts or fortresses.
Among the things that archaeologists have identified are two iron keys, bronze bells, a large amount of pottery and animal bones. In addition, fragments of iron objects were found.

Researchers were intrigued by a bone crest, bronze body crosses, and a large number of fragments of glass bracelets, which at that time were brought from Kyiv, so only wealthy people could afford them.
Finds on the territory of the Rivne estate provide valuable information about the lifestyle, culture and social structure of the nobility of the times of Kyivan Rus. The presence of complex residential buildings and personal items emphasizes the sophistication of the elite of that time.
