The 5 hryvnia coin is made of nickel silver. It has a corrugated rim and its diameter is 35 mm. The minting quality category is special uncirculated. The mintage is up to 50,000 pieces.

The design of the coin was created by sculptor Volodymyr Taran and artists Oleksandr and Serhii Haruki.
The obverse features a stylized rose in the shape of a heart against a mirror background. Its petals contain the word "love" written in the most common languages of the world.
"This further emphasizes the universality and boundlessness of this feeling, which knows neither borders nor language barriers," the NBU press service said.
In addition, the obverse features the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the denomination, minting date, the logo of the NBU Banknote Printing and Minting Works, and the inscription "Ukraine" with the dots above the letter "i" in the shape of a heart.

The reverse is decorated with a stylized embossed heart on a mirror background, from which waves evenly spread. According to the artists, this is "a symbol of sincere and all-encompassing love, the vibrations of which reach the deepest depths of the soul."

Starting today, the new commemorative coin will be sold in the National Bank's online store, and later it will be sold by distributor banks. The cost of the "Love" coin in a souvenir package is 159 hryvnias.
