The exhibition features nine embroidered portraits of Kobzar, as well as two rugs with the embroidered text of the Testament. The authors of these masterpieces are masters who were born and grew up on the lands of Ternopil region. Most of the works were created in the 60s and 80s of the last century, which testifies to the durability and value of these works of art.
The peculiarity of the exhibition is that the masters who created these embroideries made their own unique changes in the selection of colors, threads and fabric, as well as in the composition of the image. Sometimes they even used a combination of different embroidery techniques. Most often, the traditional cross was used, but you can also find works with smoothing, hand weaving (tapestries, beads) and other techniques.

Most of the embroideries are supplemented with inscriptions containing excerpts from Taras Shevchenko's poems, as well as memorable dates related to the poet's life and work. This makes them not only wonderful works of art, but also imbues them with meaning and historical value.
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to see with their own eyes the exquisiteness of Ukrainian folk art and feel the unique atmosphere of creativity dedicated to an outstanding figure of Ukrainian literature.
