The museum complex "Lemkivske Selo" in the Ternopil region is a real cultural treasury of the region. One of the most interesting exhibits that can be seen by its visitors today are ancient irons, including a 150-year-old beauty.
This collection will interest not only connoisseurs of history and ethnographers, but also fans of traditional crafts — the exhibition includes 22 irons of different years of production.

The director of the museum, Vira Dudar, considers her institution the only state museum of Lemki culture. She strives to preserve and pass on to the next generations the heritage of this ethnographic group of Ukrainians. The irons currently on display are not just a variety of household appliances, they are witnesses of history that allow us to better understand the lives of past generations.
"Our museum is unique. This is the only separate state museum of Lemki culture. We have interesting exhibits, they were brought and presented by Lemkas," says Vera Dudar.
It is expected that other exhibits currently in Canada will be transferred to the museum complex soon. Friends and trustees of "Lemkivskoe sela" Mrs. Juliana Tarnovych and Mr. Maksym Masley plan to send their collection to the museum. Among this collection is an iron, which Vera Dudar saw only in a photograph.

In addition to ancient irons, the museum also presents other interesting exhibits. Many of them are gifts made by the Lemkas themselves. Many of them are people who survived the terrible tragedy of deportation and relocation to Ukraine. Their gifts are not just objects, but the soul and memory of the people, which they preserved and handed over to the museum so that future generations could know and remember their roots.

Its exposition is built according to the thematic principle, in which there are 8 exposition halls and 6 houses. Today, 3,000 authentic Lemko household items, decor and art are stored here.
