They were usually built in one stylistic solution: a cruciform plan with octagonal arms, the prototype of which were conches, along the perimeter of which a porch is arranged; a small bathhouse cuts into the flat finish of the roof of the main nave; semicircular frieze around the perimeter.
The interior decoration of these buildings also deserves attention. Arks, iconostases, altars, images, processional crosses, and confessionals were made of wood.
