Sea breeze in the paintings of Joaquin Sorolla
Joaquín Sorlla y Bastida is a famous Spanish impressionist painter who became famous for his seascapes. Sorolla was born in Valencia and showed an interest in art from childhood.

The artist's style can be described as a clear example of impressionism, where special attention was paid to the changing light palette and the effects of air and water.
One of Sorolla's most famous works is a series of seascapes in which the artist with particular sensitivity conveys the dynamics of the sea, the play of light on the waves and the emotional impact of nature on the viewer.

Each painting is filled with emotional charge and natural beauty, which allows the viewer to feel like he is right on the shore, enjoying the cool sea breeze.
Sorolla is also known for his ability to capture the details of sea scenes - from the smallest drops of water to large cloud formations and the play of sunlight on the surface of the water. His paintings personify the harmony of man and nature.

In his works, Joaquin Sorolla created images of the sea and its elements, conveying the mood that a person experiences when surrounded by the grandeur and beauty of nature.
His works were awarded prizes in Spain and the USA, and were noted by critics and the public at the Paris Salons. The crowning achievement was the exhibition of his works at the World Exhibition in Paris, for which he was awarded a medal of honor and the Legion of Honor, and became an honorary member of the art academies of Paris, Lisbon and Valencia.

After the artist's death, the widow donated his works to the Spanish Republic. They formed the main collection of the Sorolla Museum in his home and workshop in Madrid. American industrialist and collector Paul Getty acquired ten landscape paintings by Sorolla for his museum.
